Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers offer a solution to any number of cosmetic problems. Veneers are shaped to fit over your natural teeth and later affixed to the surface of teeth with a powerful bonding resin. Depending on your cosmetic goals and the natural alignment of your teeth, a dentist can use veneers to eliminate any of the following cosmetic problems:

• Gaps Between Teeth: If you have small gaps between your teeth, our dentists can reduce a portion of the tooth to make room for a veneer. When a porcelain veneer is then affixed to the front of a tooth, its thickness can eliminate the appearance of a gap.
• Crooked Teeth: By shaping the veneer and underlying tooth to compensate for mild crookedness, your dentist can create the appearance of perfectly aligned teeth.
• Misshapen Teeth: Our dentists will ensure that your veneers are always perfectly shaped to enhance your smile. If you have teeth that are too thin or too short, a veneer will provide a more pleasing shape.
• Chips: The appearance of (a) chipped edges can be covered by the application of (a) veneer, making (the tooth) teeth appear natural and flawless.

Bonding

During a dental bonding procedure, a special material is used to eliminate the appearance of chips or cracks and create a perfectly aligned, flawless smile. After painting several layers of this material over slightly abraded teeth (allowing the material to firmly adhere to the teeth), the dentist hardens each layer with a special curing light. Once all layers have been hardened, the dentist sculpts and polishes the bonding material to create perfectly shaped teeth. Dental bonding is often used to remedy the following cosmetic problems:

• Gaps Between Teeth: Your dental professional will use bonding material to make each tooth wide enough to compensate for the gap. Once they are finished, your teeth will be evenly sized, minus the gap!
• Crooked Teeth: Dental bonding provides an alternative to wearing braces for anyone with mildly crooked teeth. Your dentist will simply shape the bonding material so that your teeth appear regular and you smile looks beautiful.
• Misshapen Teeth: Some people have teeth that are too small, too short, or simply misshapen. Your smile can look ten times better when you choose dental bonding to fix a problem tooth.
• Broken Teeth: A broken tooth can seriously affect the look of your smile. However, with the dental bonding procedure, a broken tooth can quickly be repaired….your tooth will appear flawless!
• Chips or Cracks: The dentist simply applies the bonding material to the tooth, and then shapes the material to eliminate the chip or crack. Your teeth can look beautiful after just one visit to our office.
• Tooth Decay: Bonding can also restore a tooth that has been damaged by decay. Your dentist will eliminate any decay left in the tooth, then use bonding material to seal the tooth against further decay and restore its appearance.
