Chicago Tooth Gap
If you have a tooth gap that is relatively small, dental bonding is one of the ways we can fix it. There is no shaving of the tooth required and the results can dramatically improve the appearance of one or two front teeth. It is safe and can be completed in about an hour. You can feel good about the way you look and will no longer need to hide your smile. Shown in the top image is an example of a small tooth gap that was repaired with composite dental bonding. As you'll see in the bottom image, the gap was closed perfectly. The teeth were artistically shaped and colored and the result is very natural-looking. In this case, the teeth were whitened before the bonding took place. |

Porcelain veneers may be a better option to fix a larger gap. To learn more information about this cosmetic procedure, please visit our porcelain veneers page. Another option would be Invisalign invisible braces.
The Bonding Procedure
Dental bonding can be completed in only one appointment. To begin, the surface needs to be slightly roughened so that the restorative plastic bonding resin can adhere to the natural tooth. After the bonding agent sets, this pliable material can be shaped, trimmed, and polished to recreate the appearance of the tooth.
There are many variations in tooth color, shading, and translucency, and Drs. Paul and Carole Landman have the sense of artistry that is required to achieve a beautiful and natural-looking result. The colors and shading of the dental bond should blend flawlessly. It is our goal that no one will ever know you have had any cosmetic work done.
We invite you to give us a call at (312) 266-6480 or visit our make an appointment page to find out if you are a candidate.
